In an effort to raise money for solutions to urgent outdoor recreation issues, more than 50 companies have donated at least 150 products to the nonprofit organization Tread Lightly! for its Fourth Annual Charity Auction on eBay, November 1-11.

The big ticket items this year are a Grizzly 550 ATV from Yamaha and a Gator XUV 625i utility vehicle from John Deere.

One hundred percent of the money raised will go to help keep off-road trails and recreation sites healthy and open to the public.  The auction also includes plenty of 4x4 accessories, powersports equipment and outdoor gear.  Bids will start at 40 to 60 percent off of retail prices.

POCATELLO, ID (July 7) — Clint Carter (of Inner Air Lock, internal bead locks) has initiated a huge auction to help support the BlueRibbon Coalition (BRC) and its mission to protect your recreational access.

Clint has started things off with a bang by throwing in the Ultimate Adventure rig, Whopper Jr, as his way of helping us save trails and keep the sport alive. Check out this '98 Ford F250 that kicked it in the 2009 Ultimate Adventure (Petersen's 4Wheel & Offroad Magazine).

Competitor Brian Whitford flies land-use flag at Four Wheeler's Top Truck Challenge Land-use activist hopes to use nationally televised event to help spread the word.

Hollister, CA (Jun 6, 2011): For nearly twenty years, four wheeling enthusiasts have entered their vehicles in to Four Wheeler's Top Truck Challenge to compete against other trucks, but rock crawling competitor Brian Whitford entered the competition with another mission in mind: to preach responsible recreation, trail awareness and volunteerism on the trail. With the mantra "Keep Public Lands Open to the Public" emblazoned on the side of his Any7Offroad buggy, along with several other stickers from various pro-access organizations, Brian hopes to use the popular event to spread this important message to a larger audience.

Sponsors and volunteers, old and new, have stepped forward to help make this year’s Cal4Wheel Sweepstakes Vehicle Project the best ever. The project has sparked interest and offers of help are coming in daily from companies and individual members.

The Jeep is being outfitted with new MetalCloak fenders and rock sliders this week. Saturday it will be transported to the south where Rick Clay of 4-West will install a Currie Enterprises 4" lift, Reid Racing knuckles, BF Goodrich KM2s, and Raceline Renegade Wheels. Olympic 4X4 products will provide front and rear bumpers and a roof rack system. A Warn winch is on its way as well. Many more upgrades are in the works, so keep your eye on CA4WDC News!

RENO, NV (MARCH 18, 2011): The “Mild to Wild” Fundraiser Trail Ride for 4 wheel drive vehicles will take place on Tuesday March 22, 2011 with all proceeds going towards the Blue Ribbon Coalition and their dedication to keeping our land open for use and protecting responsible recreational access.
